The following images are taken from CyberHome's downloadable DVD manuals. Separated from your groups, provide written instructions and explanations of your assigned visual instructions; then as a group, determine which instructions correspond with each other and place the instructions in order.
Toast Instructions
Now that we've analyzed some visual instructions, create a set of visual instructions (with a partner) that depict the making of toast with no words, letters, or numbers at all. You are free to use any resources or methods you like to create your toast instructions. Consider the entire process of making toast and how you will portray the different aspects (cooking time, darkness settings, etc.) and options (butter, jelly / jam, etc.) for making toast.
