Group projects will include individual memo components. These memos will have a great effect on your overall grade for their respective group projects. Your grade on the individual memos will determine the highest possible grade you can earn on group projects. For example, your Reverse Engineering Project earns a grade of "B" but your individual memo for that project earns a "C+"; individually, you will only be able to earn a "C+" on that project, despite the "B" group instruction grade.
However, if you earn an "A-" on your individual memo, that grade will average in with your group grade of a "B" on the instruction portion, thus raising your overall Reverse Engineering Project assignment grade; the individual grade will not actually raise the group grade.
If during any group project, your group has a member who does not contribute well to the completion of the project, you may also include in the individual memo an evaluation of that group member and explanation as to how he / she failed to assist with the project. Be sure to follow the guidelines for group evaluations from the Accompanying Memo of the Assignment Proposal & Presentation.
