Writing Portfolio Instructions
Using the visual design concepts you've learned in this class and in your design classes, create an aesthetically-pleasing site on which to post your writings / projects for English 104. Be creative with this assignment. You can use images from different projects you've created, concepts / ideas you've learned throughout the semester, or generate new design materials for your site.

Choose a design that you feel ties together the themes of your works, or reflects your personality, or has some other theme you would like to design your site around. You may even want to create a brief introduction to your site describing your design choices.

Be sure to think about readability on the web. Does writing on the Internet function the same way it does on paper? Do people read on the Internet the same way they read in print? Do the same visual design rules apply on the web as do in print? After you've created a design for your site, be sure to test some of your pages to make sure your works are easily readable on your site.

You may—but don't have to—choose to create a site that:

• creates a Site Map of your works as sort of an index, like the English 104 homepage, with links to all of the different assignments you've written / created
• exemplifies your design work through images / drawings / photos of the projects you've created for other classes, adding visual elements to your site that demonstrate your interests
• includes links to other works you've created for other classes as well; you could even create separate sites for your different classes, linking each to your English 104 page and describing the projects you created for those classes

This project is due Thursday, December 20^th, by Noon. To submit your online writing portfolio, send me an e-mail with your English 104 Writing Portfolio address when you want me to grade the project.
