Print to Online Conversion
Convert a print document to an online document. You may choose to take something that is no longer in copyright and create a website from this information. For example, take your grandparents' WWII photos and letters, creating a historical website about their experiences in the military and describing the photos and the stories behind those letters. You could also take photos from a trip to someplace like Athens, Greece, and create a mini-tour of the different archeological / historical sites you saw at the Acropolis. Or you may choose to take an existing document and create a website from it (with the author's permission, of course). For example, you could take a flyer that a particular campus organization created for an event and convert the flyer into an online document (though, if you want to be helpful to that organization, you may want to choose a flyer for an event that has not expired). When developing this site, keep in mind that the original document may have excess or insufficient amounts of information; may employ poor visual design; or may require editing and / or revising. Don't just take everything from the print version of this document and slap it up on the web. Be sure to think about navigation, organization, and most importantly the information for your web version of this document. Depending on the original documetn you choose, you may need to create some original images and writing to further explain and enhance your online version of this document. Here is an example of document conversion website I have created:
