Writing for the World Wide Web
Computer Survival School Seminars
The Office of Academic Information Technologies has various (usually one-day) free workshops and seminars that provide learning opportunities in using different softwares and technology development tools, including HTML. Of particular interest might be the Web Design workshops in HTML, JavaScript, and Flash. Yes, this class teaches HTML, but the seminar would provide you with another perspective and possible other ideas to enhance your web development skills; you will also get handout materials with tutorial information that may help describe different programming techniques. The JavaScript and Flash workshops would offer you some learning opportunities for various different forms of Internet development. Here are some seminars that may be of particular interest to you (I may even go to a couple of these):

Basic HTML
HTML- Color and Graphics
HTML- Tables and FTP
HTML Mapping, Frames and Local Options
Simple Javascript for the Web
More Simple Javascript for the Web
Introduction to Macromedia Flash
Flash II- Buttons and Menus
Introduction to Adobe GoLive
Adobe GoLive II

Some of these seminars have time conflicts with our class. If you want to go to a seminar that poses a time conflict, talk to me in advance, and we can work something out...
