Writing for the World Wide Web
Organizing WWW Files
Organizing your files (the behind-the-scenes structuring of your website) is just as important as creating navigation for your users. When you set up your website, be sure to plan where you are going to place different files, such as images, homework HTML files, major assignments, etc. Using folders to put similar files in will help you when you are actually programming and updating the website. If you have your files organized in folders, according to the type of file (image, homework, etc.), it will be easier for you to know where to create links to, access images files, etc.
